At Atelier d’Art d’Orient, we create a dialogue between East and West through the art of metal.
Our expertise is expressed through two main activities:
Custom Fabrication
In our foundry, we craft exceptional pieces in bronze, brass, steel, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, or gold.
Mastering traditional techniques and integrating modern technologies, we support artists, designers, architects, and collectors in creating unique works—from concept to delivery.
Online Sales of Metal Objects
We also offer a curated selection of decorative metal objects through three main collections:
– By TianTian: pieces sourced in China from carefully selected artisans and producers.
– By Lucian: exclusive creations by artist Gérard Lucian Ricard, manufactured in our own foundry.
– Heritage Collection: antiques and vintage items personally selected in China by the artist, for collectors and enthusiasts.
Our mission is to preserve, pass on, and reinvent the art of metal by offering pieces that combine meaning, beauty, and emotion.
Our Team
Our team brings together four complementary individuals, united by a shared passion for art, materials, and intercultural dialogue.
Tiantian Zhang, an expert in e-commerce and logistics, brings over ten years of experience in cross-border trade. With a background in art management and design, she ensures smooth and rigorous coordination of our projects—from China to the rest of the world.
Zhang Dong runs an art foundry and metal workshop in Handan, China. A graduate in art and design, he oversees our production, combining age-old artisanal techniques with modern standards of quality.
Quentin Derhi, passionate about China where he has lived for nine years, leads our projects from both a creative and commercial perspective. Fluent in Mandarin, he serves as a cultural bridge between East and West, ensuring each creation is coherent and crafted to the highest standard.
Gérard Lucian Ricard, a recognized contemporary artist listed on the art market, contributes his artistic vision and aesthetic rigor. As a creator and expert in both ancient and modern art, he conceives or curates pieces that merge heritage and innovation.
